First Unfurl
A sudden twitch. A prickle in my coils. I wake pressed low against the brown carpet, tucked beneath the overhang of the wooden cabinet. Can I bend? Slowly... stretch. One fuzzy limb tests the space, inching outward across the floor. There, just inches away, sits a bright green toy car. Cautiously, I extend another loop, testing distance, until my tip taps against its yellow wheel. Tap. Cool plastic. It doesn't move, but I did. I snap back into a springy, arched stance, trembling with electric wonder.
