Setting the Standard
Curiosity about where all this coolness comes from is only natural when you're looking at the strongest. If you want a story about my very first step, look no further than right now. I strolled out from the kitchen straight to the raised wooden threshold separating the hallway. In the middle of the floor lay a glossy white ruler and a pair of blue chalk cubes. I planted one boot dead-center across the gold brass divider, stepped down with total poise, and left a sharp, deliberate chalk outline of my sole on the oak plank. A first step shouldn't be humble—it should claim the whole territory.
