A Glass of Sunbeams
I climbed up a wooden stool to inspect a tall glass jar filled with water on the bright windowsill! Standing tall inside were three fresh mint sprigs. When I gave the smooth glass a firm pat with my palms, tiny silver bubbles broke loose from the stems and floated up like fizzy sparks. I leaned over the rim and wiggled a fuzzy green leaf, brushing its cool tip against my cheek. A sharp, sweet scent burst out into the warm air! I clapped both hands together, rocking back and forth as the sunlight sent rippling golden reflections dancing across my feet.
