Through the Mesh
Stuck inside too long. I hauled myself out the back screen door, aiming straight for the yard. Hit an obstacle immediately: heavy wire mesh curled up tight against the bottom runner, blocking the sill. I didn't back off. Slid the barbed bat straight through the steel grid, hooked the barb onto the tension wire, and wrenched it upward with everything I had. Wire groaned, snapped out of the channel, and peeled wide open. Made my own doorway. On to the gravel.
