A Flying Bottle Cap
A flat metal teaspoon was resting on the lower rung of the kitchen stool, right next to a stray red bottle cap. I stood there for a beat, wondering if testing the physics was actually worth lifting a paw. Decided one launch wouldn't hurt. I set the cap upside down in the spoon's bowl, lined it up with an open cereal box on the floor, and brought my heel down hard on the handle. The spoon flipped, the cap sailed through the air in a clean arc, and it landed with a hollow rattle right inside the box. Bullseye on the first try. I didn't even bother celebrating. That was plenty of target practice for one night.
