Coconut Coir Bristles

I popped through the cracked front door to test the morning air and landed straight onto the bristly brown coir doormat! Click-crunch! The coarse fibers were packed tight and stiff like a thousand tiny upright broom twigs. I planted my ribbed green handle into a woven groove and levered my arched red prongs downward, pressing all three spherical tips deep into the dense prickly mat. Squeeeze-spring! The stiff bristles resisted stubbornly, then kicked upward in a collective, rustling rebound that bounced my whole stem right into the air. I landed with a jaunty wobble, dusting off a speck of stray fiber!
