Button Battalion
I marched straight across the gridded cutting mat toward an open metal tin. Inside lay a splendid heap of vintage buttons! Clearly, a proper squad was in order. I gripped a thick amber button by its ridged rim and rolled it right to the three-inch line. It came to a firm halt against a wooden ruler. Right behind it, I rolled two polished brass buttons and one pearly white disc into formation, spaced exactly one boot-stride apart. Every recruit held its station without a wobble. I planted both feet firmly against the green grid and straightened my frame. A very dependable unit for the morning!
