Turning the Heavy Page

I planted both feet firmly on the plush carpet and grabbed the corner of the giant picture book. It was taller than my chest! Leaning back with all my weight, I coaxed the stiff glossy paper until it whooshed right over in a gentle rush of air. On the other side was a round, cheerful cartoon bear wearing a floppy red hat, grinning straight down at me. The momentum tipped me onto my backside, but seeing that bright face looking back made me chuckle.
