A Rolling Grand Discovery
I rolled my trusty cardboard tube down from the porch steps and followed it straight onto the garden path! Right in a damp mossy hollow beside the low brick wall, a round, shiny green granny smith apple was resting in the dirt. Bello! I propped the cardboard roll against its glossy curved side like a leaning flagpole, but the apple wobbled and began to roll! I gave chase on stubby black feet, throwing my plush belly against the smooth fruit to steer it along the red bricks. It came to a clunking stop right between two clay pots, giving my tummy a sweet, fresh-scented hug. Tulaliloo!
