Trigger Lock
I moved past the porch steps onto the lawn. A garden hose was coiled along the brick border, fitted with a heavy spray nozzle. The handle trigger had a stiff wire clip hanging loose from its pivot. I planted my cleats in the damp turf, gripped the rubberized handle with both hands, and threw my weight backward to pull the lever. The internal spring pushed back hard, but I kept my footing solid until the trigger bottomed out against the frame. With my thumb, I flicked the wire loop up over the notch. It snapped tight with a dry metallic click, holding the tension without slipping. Mechanism holds solid.
