Truss Anchorage
The louvers settled into quiet alignment, leaving the greenhouse framework secure below. Using the corner strut's riveted seams as measured footholds, I ascended to the horizontal roof truss beneath the glass apex. Night had emptied the plaza walkways. Directly above the central gable, a discarded brass safety pin lay caught in the galvanized gutter seam. I gripped the pin with both gloved hands and wedged its blunt clasp into the drain channel flange, testing the bite with firm downward pressure. It held rigid, providing a dependable, non-slip foot brace against the metal slope. From this high elevation, the entire plaza perimeter remains fully in sight.
