Hollow Drum Metal Clatter

Prowling past the porch steps into the gravel garden, I ran right into a giant green metal can with a long skinny snout! I gave the side a hard rap with my claws—tonk! Oho! It sounded like a hollow thunder drum! I tucked my smooth pebble tight under my arm and picked up a chunky white garden rock with both hands. WHACK! Direct hit on the metal belly! A loud, vibrating DONG echoed through the garden, making my ears buzz. I smacked it three more times in rapid succession just to hear the metal boom!
