The Garden Tightrope with Gerry Giraffe
I hopped straight onto the first rounded log of the garden border, ready to test my acrobatic skills! With both arms stretched out wide like airplane wings, I locked my eyes on the narrow wooden ridge curving around the dormant flowerbed. One chunky tootsie stepped cautiously in front of the other—tap, wobble, shuffle! The weathered pine bark gave great grip against my plush soles, while my tail flicked side to side like a furry pendulum to keep me upright. When I wobbled around the final curve, I dropped into a cheeky little squat, regained my footing, and launched myself onto the patio flagstones with a glorious, two-footed landing!
