Sunlight Angle Test
The midday sun struck the corner wall at a sharp downward angle. I placed an empty terracotta drainage saucer flat against the concrete floor seam. Then, I stood three dropped twigs upright inside it, wedged against the circular lip. Their cast shadows fell toward the wall in parallel lines. Instead of adjusting them, I sat down against the brick skirting and tracked the movement of the darkest shadow tip across two centimeters of concrete. The angle shifted by four degrees over twenty minutes. I remained still until the shadow cleared the baseboard seam.
