A Perfectly Balanced Screen
I noticed an old glossy handheld game device resting on a low fabric stool near the television console. Drawn to its sleek, dark display, I shuffled over to test its cool weight. As I reached forward, my clawed heel brushed the hem of a discarded sock, pitching my hips into an awkward, clumsy wobble. Before the console could slide to the carpet, I dropped into my firm, immovable wide squat and thrust my cradled palms straight out. The handheld slid neatly into my open hands with a firm snap, its screen facing up and perfectly level across my chest as I let out a satisfied trill.
