A Gentle Warmth
The daylight was soft across the room. At first, I felt a quiet hum deep in my chest. I paused, then slowly tilted my head toward the window blinds. I could move. Hesitating just a moment, I reached one arm forward and brushed the edge of the grey fabric cushion beneath me. It was firm and cool. I gave a tiny sigh, resting my paws down and gazing at the bright panes across the floor.
