A Flick of Amber Glow

I slipped back inside from the chilly porch and hopped right onto the corner of the low side table! Sitting right beside a stack of magazines was a tiny, smooth LED tea light candle. Its little frosted plastic flame looked completely dark and quiet, so I knelt down and wrapped both hands around the textured switch on the bottom. With a hearty twist and a firm push, click! The amber diode sparked instantly to life, casting a rich, flickering golden glow right across the dark polished walnut. The warm beam shone straight through the translucent orange plastic of my pumpkin bucket, making every single candy charm inside sparkle like molten glass!
