The Leaf Cyclone
Living room air was turning stale, so I slipped under the front screen door to conquer the street! Right at the edge of the top concrete step, nature decided to launch a counterattack—a sudden noon gust whipped up a whistling cyclone of crunchy oak leaves straight at my chest. Retreat? Never heard of her! I leaned my shoulder into the gale and charged headfirst into the swirling storm. Whack! A brittle brown leaf tried to smother my collar, but I slapped it flat into the gravel, stomped through the vortex, and took the high ground. Spotless victory!
