Night Run Inbound
The balcony cooled off fast once the sun went down. Time to bring the rig back indoors. I lined up the nose with the crack in the sliding glass door and gunned it across the dark concrete. Cleared the metal rail with a sharp clatter, only to find a new roadblock: a thick, bristled coir mat blocking the floor. No detours. I leaned over the wheel, shoved all my weight into the front axle, and drove the tires straight up the rough fibers. One hard jolt over the crest, and the kart rolled smoothly onto the warm wood floor. Back inside, right on schedule.
