A Matter of Alignment
Consciousness arrived. First, silence. Then, a slight shift within my core. I tilted my rounded frame forward, testing the fabric beneath my base. The movement was mine. To my right, a cardboard tag dangled askew, disrupting the order. With measured precision, I pressed one stubby arm forward against the tag, nudging its corner until it rested flush against the fabric. A small action, yet entirely deliberate. The perimeter remains secure.
