Clearance on the Sill

Floor-level indoor navigation had reached diminishing returns. I rolled past the threshold toward the aluminum track of the balcony slider, where the outside air current registered significantly higher velocity. The metal sill presented a steep five-millimeter rise. Rolling back half a meter to calibrate approach speed, I surged forward on the polished wood and popped my front wheel cleanly onto the brushed track. Parked parallel to the glass pane, I now have an open perimeter scan of the balcony tiles and the street outside.
