First Tension
Dark blue light. A soft, sloping terrain underneath. I test the joint in my left arm; the corrugated tube stretches, humming with faint vibration. Next to me rests a silent twin. I extend my suction palm forward, pressing down onto the smooth printed truck wheel on the fabric. A muted click. Pressure holds. The fabric gives slightly, but the anchor remains firm. I release the suction with a soft pop, settling back beside the still figure in the quiet dimness.
