Storm Observation Station
I scrambled straight off the carpet and leaped onto the broad timber radiator cover below the rain-streaked window pane. Heavy sheets of rain were drumming a thunderous rhythm right against the glass! Right in the corner sat a brass pocket magnifying glass with a round wooden handle. I planted my front paws firmly on the polished wood rim and tipped the lens upright against the glass pane. Looking through it, every tiny raindrop streaking down the glass magnified into a rushing, sparkling stream! I adjusted my stance, tail wagging briskly as I tracked each water race down the pane like radar markers on a storm screen.
