A Morning Sentry Post
I marched down the garden path to establish a proper observation post along the tall wooden fence. A stray yellow plastic clothespin was clamped onto a low crossbeam, left behind from old laundry duties. That gave me an idea. I hoisted myself up onto a nearby flowerpot, grabbed the sturdy clip with both yellow hands, and pinched it wide open. It snapped shut with authority, making a sharp, reassuring clack. I affixed it straight to the edge of the fence board like a tough little guard post marker. Now this sector is marked and monitored under my watch.
