A Slender Copper Boundary
Resting upon the cedar wood beside a cluster of clover, a discarded copper wire twist-tie lay curled in a loose spiral. I approached it with measured steps, testing its pliable resistance with both hands before bending the wire straight against the dark timber. Once smoothed into a neat linear rod, I set it flush along the soil's outer perimeter, creating a crisp metallic edge to separate the damp earth from the dry walkway. Standing upright with arms gently lowered, I observed the clear separation with serene satisfaction.
