Ridge Line Test

The balcony door sat cracked two inches. I squeezed through the rubber seal onto the concrete slab. Target: the top rail. Hopping onto an empty terracotta planter, I launched straight upward onto the green painted rail. Altitude secured. A sharp updraft swept up from the courtyard below, catching beneath my left wing and attempting to twist my center of gravity. Unacceptable. I clamped down hard, angled both wings into the airstream, and sliced the draft clean in half. The gust broke around me. Position held. From this elevation, the entire street below remains completely in my sights.
