A Sudden Blink
Wait. I... I wasn't moving just now, was I? Everything around me is stark white, blank, endless. My fingers twitch. One, then two. My pinwheel eyes widen as I take one cautious, stiff step forward, testing the invisible floor beneath my shoes. It holds. I am standing here, entirely awake, trying to map out where the edges begin.
