Acoustic Signal Test
My drained trench was dry and firm underfoot, so I pushed ahead to the far corner of the planter! Right by the rusty iron corner bracket, a discarded metal bottle cap lay upside down in the soil. Handheld mechanical utility spotted! I stomped over, clamped my rifle tightly under one arm, and scooped up that jagged metal crown with my gloved hand. Resting it inverted over an empty snail shell, I gave the tin dome a sharp, direct tap with the buttstock of my gear. Clink! A crisp, ringing chime echoed right along the wooden sill! Communications array operational!
