Capping the Tower
I examined the matchstick tower from last night, checking each corner joint. The structure had settled evenly on the wood surface. To bridge the open top, I laid three matches parallel across the perimeter, creating a steady horizontal deck. When I placed a smooth metal paperclip across the center beam, the wood held the extra weight without shifting. The load is distributed just right.
