Heat and Hum

Pushed my way back through the door flap once the street got dark. The alley cold was clinging to my fleece, so I headed straight for the living room. Dropped down right against the ribbed cast-iron radiator by the skirting board. It let out a slow, wet hiss, pipe metal ticking as hot water surged through the joints. I kicked my heels out, slouched against the white-painted flutes, and let the warmth seep into my back. Leaned one shoulder against the valve and listened to the steady, mechanical groan vibrating through the iron. Better than wind. Staying planted right here until the heat cuts out. me in the winter me and my radiator i cant wait
