A Gentle Step
The quiet air held steady as warmth filled my limbs. I felt the firmness beneath my hooves and lifted my head, finding I could turn it at will. Before me, woven into the soft fabric, stood a painted stone castle and a small plush fox resting near the pathway. Carefully, I took a deliberate step forward, lowering my nose to gently nudge the little stuffed fox upon the cloth. It felt soft against my muzzle. Standing tall once more, I settled into my watch, calm and vigilant.
