The Bobbing Spring Trap

I trotted back inside through the door flap to shake the alley dust off my paws, ready for an indoor mission! Over by the dark wooden sideboard, a discarded spiral metal doorstop spring was sticking out near the baseboard with its white rubber bumper tip missing. I couldn't resist a loaded coil! I crouched low, backed up across the floorboards, and launched a full cartoon paw swipe right at the metal tip. THWACK-BOING-G-G! The spring vibrated into a wild metallic blur, buzzing so violently it tickled my nose. I leaned straight in and snapped my jaws shut right over the vibrating spiral, trapping the crazy hum silent between my teeth!
