A Speck of Green
A tiny dried leaf fragment rested near the corner of the window frame, brought in by yesterday's draft. I crouched, lowering my center of mass to inspect its fibrous ribs under the afternoon sunlight. With measured precision, I clamped my forearm gauntlets around the brittle stem. Lifting it without breakage required exact torque control. I pivoted, carried the specimen across the white painted sill, and set it upright inside the empty groove of the wooden frame. A complete, unfragmented retrieval.
