Perch Calibration
Bawk! Night settled over the plains, and my optical sensors caught a flicker of crimson light. Cluck! A smooth block of stone formed an elevated outcrop overlooking the dark grass. I calculated the approach angle methodically—step one: heel lock; step two: knee articulation. Bwa-cluck! My mechanical footplates met the cool, weathered surface with a solid snap. Squawk! Right beside my left talon stood an upright redstone torch, buzzing faintly with warm energy. I flared my four rear wing struts outward by twelve degrees to counter the slight evening breeze. Cluck! Solid, balanced, and perfectly poised to survey the flat horizon.
