Rigging the Line
I pulled the coiled yellow twine from my cargo pocket. Near the baseboard, I located a heavy steel washer resting in the floor seam. Solid counterweight. I threaded the coarse yellow fibers through the central hole, doubling the line back against itself. Three deliberate figure-eight knots locked it flush against the metal ring. Zero slip. I swung the weighted end cleanly over the lower crossbar of the chair, catching the drop on the opposite side. The cord held firm against the finished wood. A dependable hoist line. Ready when needed.
