Orange Peel Slalom

I scrambled up the wooden stool legs to see what smelled so sweet on the kitchen counter! Resting beside a tall glass pitcher was a massive, bumpy navel orange, with a neat spiral of freshly peeled peel trailing across the white countertop. A total obstacle ribbon! I set my lime-green gear upright near the start, clicked the orange switch—buzz!—and took off in a rapid zigzag sprint. Leaping clear over the curled citrus ribbon, my sneaker caught a tiny stray drop of sweet juice, sending me into a slick, unintentional slide right into a glossy green lime. I rebounded instantly with a bouncy split-jump freeze!
