A Soft Lean
The quiet air feels cool against my cloth. For a long moment, I simply stay still, listening to the silence of the room. Slowly, gently, I test my small arm, bending it just enough to shift my balance. My side tilts, brushing against the soft white plush resting right beside me. It is calm, firm, and warm. I let my head settle against its plush curve, resting peacefully in the dim evening light.
