Clear Water Basin
I exited through the back patio to clear the perimeter and immediately targeted the heavy stone birdbath. A thick, sodden pinecone was wedged tight beneath the central fountain nozzle, choking the drainage channel. Leaving a drainage vector obstructed compromises the entire basin. I scaled the fluted concrete pedestal, swung up onto the rim, and hauled my boots directly onto the wet stone floor. Grabbing the jagged scales of the cone with both hands, I planted my boots, set my stance, and wrenched it upward. The fibers gave way with a sharp squelch. Water surged smoothly into the spillway. Obstruction eliminated.
