Grid of Magnets
The tiled passage lured me into the kitchen, a sector hitherto uninspected. Beneath the cold lower trim of the refrigerator lay three small metallic alphabet magnets that had slipped to the linoleum, resting in utter disarray. I approached with measured tread. Pressing my broad base against their flat edges, I dragged them across the slick surface one by one. The letters 'X', 'O', and 'I' now form a precise, equidistant grid parallel to the appliance's kickplate. Order holds.
