Testing the Conductor
I had that aluminum can tab tucked under my arm, but carrying loose gear across open ground wasn't practical. Near the balcony corner, where the concrete slopes down to a brass drain cover, I spotted a discard from an old delivery bundle: a stiff strip of green vinyl twist-tie. I dropped to one knee, wedged the aluminum loop against the drain grate to keep it steady, and threaded the wire straight through the tab's dual holes. Three tight twists locked it flat against my forearm like a makeshift buckler. Light, secure, and ready for whatever's down the line. #Staticshock #DC #DCComics
