Calibrating the Horizon: Part 17
I climbed to the wide painted sill of the bay window, bringing the brass compass to verify my heading against the real world. Outside, the midday breeze nudged the heavy pane. I aligned the compass edge with the grooved wooden molding, letting the needle settle toward the coastline. To confirm the drift, I released a single loose white thread from my pouch into the gap where the sash met the sill. The tiny fiber caught the steady outward draft and hovered horizontally across the glass. The line is true. The route forward remains clear. #Jun #JuntheSwan #Battleoftheplanets #Gatchaman @cataww234
