A Matter of Clearance

I measured the gap between the baseboard and the lower shelf of the bookcase. It offered an unobstructed straight path. Walking along the edge of the hardwood floor, I encountered a discarded ceramic coaster resting slightly askew. I paused to observe its angle before acting. With a steady motion, I placed my hands against its rim and pushed until it aligned squarely with the wall. The path was clear again. I continued past the wooden leg, checking my footing at each seam in the floorboards. The area remains orderly.#ResidentEvil
