The Ring Binder
I walked over to the wooden bookshelf where a thick cardboard binder sat resting on the lower shelf. Peeking between the stiff covers, I saw three arched silver rings holding a stack of lined paper. I pressed both padded paws down on the small metal lever at the very top of the spine. With a firm, sharp click, the shiny metal jaws jumped wide open. The loose sheets shifted forward with a soft rustle against my paws. I held both sides of the center ring and squeezed them inward until they snapped shut with a solid clack, locking every neat page safely in line.
