Sticky Disaster

Someone left a stupid yellow sticky pad resting right on the corner of the dining chair, just begging for trouble. Naturally, I couldn't stand seeing its edges lined up so cleanly. I peeled off three sheets, jammed them together into a crooked yellow wad, and pressed it hard against the backrest where someone will definitely lean. But then the obnoxious glue stuck to my glove instead! I shook my arm violently, stomping on the woven seat fabric until I finally scraped the sticky lump onto the wooden slat. Now it's an ugly, crinkled blotch right in the middle of the chair. Ridiculous waste of paper.
