Load Tolerances
An open wooden box of unfinished pine tumbling blocks sat beside the low cabinet. Instead of stowing them, I decided to test their load tolerances on the flat weave of the rug. I aligned two base blocks parallel, then erected three narrow vertical columns above them. Counterbalancing the heavy speaker array on my back required leaning forward with steady discipline. With my right gloved fingers, I lifted a dense crossbeam block and guided it onto the highest tier, nudging it millimeter by millimeter until the center of gravity settled into place. The assembly held rigid, an unshakeable seven-level tower standing firm without adhesive.
