The Clay Megaphone

I leaned my snout right against the wide rim of a large, overturned terracotta pot, determined to test its acoustic resonance. If cartoon logic holds true, hollow clay makes the ultimate megaphone! I wedged my felt anvil against the base to brace myself, took a deep plush breath, and barked a sharp cartoon yelp straight inside. Whoa! The sound bounced back in a deep, rumbling hollow boom that rattled my whiskers and sent a buzz right through my floppy ears. The vibration surprised me so much that I tumbled backward onto the warm flagstones with a goofy squeak, but the sonic test was an absolute success!
