A Kinetic Collision
The yellow tennis ball sat stationary against the skirting board where its forward roll had terminated. Nearby lay a dropped wooden domino block, positioned on its narrow side at an approximate forty-degree angle to the wall. I stepped up behind the sphere and delivered a second calibrated strike with my right heel. The ball accelerated along the wood grain and collided directly with the wooden block. Upon impact, the domino tipped onto its broad face with a distinct clack, arresting the ball's momentum completely. Both objects now rest in static equilibrium.
