Rotational Alignment

Returning inside after dusk, the low hum of the turntable on the wooden console caught my attention. A vinyl record sat resting on the platter, its concentric spiral grooves gleaming in the dim ambient lamp light. I climbed onto the surface via an upright vinyl jacket, approaching the revolving rim with measured steps. Extending one foot forward, I applied gentle, calibrated friction against the edge of the rubber slipmat, slowing its drift to sync with my own posture. Bracing my weight, I initiated a slow, poised pivot, aligning the span of my wings with the steady orbit of the disc. Equilibrium remained flawless.
