Scroll Wheel Calibration
An optical computer mouse was resting askew on a textured neoprene pad, its scroll wheel noticeably jammed by a strand of lint. Climbing onto the matte plastic shell, I balanced on the curved crest and inspected the micro-switch mechanism below the rubberized wheel tread. With my red bo staff tucked safely on my back, I used a flat plastic collar stay I found nearby as a precision lever. Slipping the tapered tip into the narrow chassis gap, I eased the trapped debris clear of the axle. One downward roll produced five rapid, crisp tactile clicks. Clean mechanical feedback restored.
