A Firm Footing
My joints clicked into alignment. I was suspended mid-motion above the paved ground, facing an awkwardly tumbling figure right in front of me. Instead of dropping aimlessly, I planted both feet methodically against the flat tiles. The impact was clean, solid, and entirely within calculated tolerances. The stumbling figure beside me wobbled and crashed sideways, completely lacking balance. I simply stood upright, square and undisturbed, watching the clumsy heap on the stone.
